1. A letter from the college/university Director of Music Therapy containing your academic completion date and statement of eligibility for internship (This may be a form letter, but must contain an original signature).

3. Three (3) letters of recommendation, with at least two being from supervisors in the clinical setting.

After all information is received, applicants will be called to schedule an interview and audition. If you are unable to travel to Bethany, a phone interview and video audition may be granted.
Audition:
1. Play 4 prepared pieces (classical, folk, pop, your choice). Within these four pieces, audition material needs to include piano, guitar, and voice. Any other instruments are welcome.
2. Join us in improvisation on rhythm instruments.
3. Teach us a song of your choice.
4. Harmonize 2 melodies on sight with keyboard or guitar.
5. Play simple songs by ear.
Interview:
-Meet with the music therapy staff.
-Tour the building.
-Talk informally.
-Talk formally: discussion:
-philosophy of music therapy
-review of transcripts
-experiences in practicum
-what you hope to gain here
-surprise questions
-Bring a piece of music that describes you; we will listen to it and discuss it.
*The entire process takes about two hours.
*If visiting our site is not possible, we do accept videotapedauditions and will interview you via phone.
