Trauma-Informed
Residential Program


Bethany Children’s Home is Sanctuary® Certified and follows the Sanctuary model of trauma-informed care in our Residential Program. This program is intended for youth who require support and services to obtain skills that enable them to move to a less structured setting or return home. Services include:
  • Weekly individual therapy and group therapy
  • Family therapy facilitated by Bethany Counseling Ministries
  • Intake health screening
  • Health oversight and referral
  • Psychiatric services on site
  • Psychological services through Bethany Counseling Ministries
  • Drug and alcohol services in conjunction with Caron Counseling
  • Immediate school placement
  • Alternative education program and special education program available through Conrad Weiser School District
  • Bethany Education Coordinator located on Conrad Weiser School District grounds, responsible solely for Bethany youth
  • On-ground tutoring available and mandatory for any student with educational deficiencies
  • Spiritual services, including character and moral development
  • Balanced and restorative justice principles outcomes for JPO youth
  • Opportunities for community service
  • Sibling placement together, plus sibling counseling
  • Frequent sibling and family visits available
  • Music therapy facilitated by board-certified music therapists
  • Art and crafts facilitated by art education instructor
  • Therapeutic recreation supervised by a Certified Recreation Specialist
  • Ansell Casey life skills assessments
  • Formal life skills training and education for all youth 16 and older
  • Life skills and independent living group for all youth 16 and older
  • Daily life skills training for all youth through cottage living
  • Personalized transition and permanency planning starting at age 16
  • Assistance with higher education planning
  • Assistance in finding employment and housing
Our campus facilities include an in-ground pool, full gymnasium with fitness center, multi-purpose room, racquetball courts, basketball-volleyball-tennis courts, low ropes course, hiking trails, fishing pond, church, softball field, meditation garden, infirmary and working farm. Bethany Children’s Home follows the house-parent model, and there are on-duty directors on site 24 hours a day.
